Margaret received a Bachelor of Fine Arts Degree from Missouri State University and a Master of Fine Arts Degree from The Academy of Art University in San Francisco, California. Degrees in hand, she moved back to Arkansas where she built a studio and ran an art gallery for several years. Margaret currently serves on the board of the Arkansas Sculptors’ Guild and teaches glass, ceramic and sculpture classes from her home studio. She continues to educate and challenge herself by taking workshops on various sculptural subjects. Though ceramic clay is often her medium of choice, she recently began adding elements of cast glass to her sculptures to enhance both their meaning and aesthetic. Her latest body of work focuses on the use of material as a metaphor for the fragility of life.
