ARSG was founded by a group of Arkansas Sculptors for the purpose of increasing the production, quality and placement of sculpture within the State of Arkansas. ARSG was Charter as a Not for Profit with the State of Arkansas in 2005.
We are working to ensure that Arkansas Sculptors are given equal opportunity in Public Art placement and creation of business opportunities for Arkansas sculptors and sculpture related businesses in the public sector at both local and state levels.
ARSG is working to inform the public, media, local and state government about the existing sculptors and production facilities within our state.
ARSG is creating a modern up to date database of ARSG sculptors and facilities that will be easily accessible by the general public, state and local agencies; along with a statewide database of sculpture jobs and projects.
ARSG will be working in cooperation with schools and universities to improve the training available for sculptors in the state and developing apprenticeship and mentoring programs with professional artists. We are working to develop adequate venues for showing, marketing and appreciation of sculpture.
